Dutch survivor of Libyan air crash to return home Saturday: Ministry

TUNIS, May 14 (Xinhua) -- A 9-year-old Dutch boy, the sole survivor of a plane crash in Libya on Wednesday, will return home on Saturday, the Foreign Ministry of the Netherlands said.

"The Dutch boy Ruben... will be brought back to the Netherlands on Saturday May 15," a statement by the ministry said.

During his trip home, Ruben will be accompanied by his aunt and uncle, who arrived Thursday in Libya, and an attending physician, the release said.

"At the request of Ruben's relatives, the place where the plane will land (in the Netherlands) will not be divulged and the media will not be given the opportunity to be present when it arrives," the statement said, while just saying that the plane will leave Tripoli at 10 a.m.

Ruben's relatives "appealed to the media to exercise restrain and to leave Ruben and his family in peace at this difficult time, " the ministry added.
