BEIJING, June 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Apple's iPhone operation system (iPhone OS) version 4 is ready on the Internet for user downloads, according to news reports on Tuesday.

The newly released operation system has upgraded iPhone OS 3's devices, including its camera performance, file folders and spell check, according to informationweek.com.

On camera technology, the new operation system provides users with faster speed to take pictures and quicker transfer to get back to the main screen.

In the upgrading of its "Folders" button, it reduced an amount of transfer screens so that users can easily switch from one app to another.

When composing messages, iOS 4 can predict the word the user tends to type in, instead of an arbitrary word.

Apple on June 7 unveiled the iPhone 4 at a news conference. Only 9.3 millimeters thick, the iPhone 4 is about 24 percent thinner than the iPhone 3GS, according to its CEO Steve Jobs.
