Tourism fairs hit Beijing

Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE) and the North China Travel Fair (NCTF) 2010 are set to open Friday at China International Exhibition Center in Beijing.

Organized by Beijing Tourism Administration, the 7th BITE and 15th NCTF will combine together to build a platform for communication between industry profession-als, buyers and travelers, according to the organizers.

Exhibitors from more than 80 countries, 25 provincial tourism bureaus in China, 32 travel agencies in Beijing and a host of tourism organizations and enterprises will take part in the three-day event, the organizers said, adding that it is the first time the expo and fair has been held together.

Discounted travel packages and lucky draws for the public will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Last year 120,000 people attended the expo alone.
