CENTRAL CHINA PROVINCE YIELDS GOOD HARVEST OF SUMMER GRAIN

Central China's Henan Province has yielded 30.9 billion kg of summer grain, representing a year-on-year increase of 257 million kg, or 0.8 percent.

The province yielded a rise in summer grain harvest for the eighth year in a row and ranked first in the country by summer grain output for 10 consecutive years.

Experts believe the good harvest of summer grain in Henan, the leading grain producer in China, is significant for the nation's grain security, particularly after the severe drought and heavy rain in south China since the beginning of this year.
