THE HAGUE, June 27 (Xinhua)-- A helicopter owned by the Heli Holland Airservice crashed in the port region of the Dutch city Rotterdam Sunday, killing three people, according to local police.

Including the pilot, there are five people on board in total, a spokesman of the police said.

The helicopter is a Eurocopter EC130, just five years old. "It's a relatively new device in aviation terms," Heli Holland Airservice said, and the reason for the crash is still unknown.

The helicopter took off Sunday morning from Rotterdam Airport to the port region of the city, in order to take some video of a bicycle event called "Tour de Port." But the local Air Traffic Control said, "it did not fly under the guidance."
