SEOUL, July 22 (Xinhua) -- South Korean Finance Minister Yoon Jeung-hyun will participate in the 9th China-Korea Finance Ministers' meeting to be held in Beijing on Friday, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance said Thursday.
"This year's meeting will be the first one since the beginning of the global economic crisis in 2008," the ministry said in a press release, adding that the ministers will be talking about post-crisis economic policies and cooperation.
According to the ministry, the main agenda for the meeting will cover macroeconomic situations, energy and environmental issues and regional development issues.
At the discussion table, Minister Yoon is planned to share South Korea's experience concerning economic policies, while the leaders discuss on projects of mutual interests, and ways to increase bilateral cooperation in the international community such as in G20 meetings, the ministry said.
The bilateral meeting has been regularly held between China's National Development & Reform Commission and South Korea's Ministry of Strategy and Finance since 1993 when it set off as a vice ministerial level meeting.
In 1999, the meeting became a ministerial level meeting, and has been held so for eight times until 2008.
