MALABO, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo is in Equatorial Guinea on a day-long visit to boost ties between China and the West African country.
Dai arrived on Thursday night in Malabo, the capital Equatorial Guinea. He is expected to meet Prime Minister Ignacio Milam Tang and other senior government officials.
The visit by the Chinese official is within the framework of political consultation between the two friendly countries to develop their cooperative relations.
Dai had previous made a 24-hour visit to Ethiopia and a three- day visit to Algeria. His African trip will also take him to the Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia.
