BAGHDAD, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and 15 others wounded in the suicide car bomb explosion outside the office of Dubai-based al-Arabiyah TV in western Baghdad on Monday, an Interior Ministry source said.

"Our latest reports said that three people were killed and 15 others wounded," the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

The attack took place at about local time 9:20 a.m. (0620 GMT) when a suicide bomber blew up his explosive-laden vehicle outside the office of al-Arabiyah in al-Harthiyah district, said the source.

The blast left a crater of two to three meters outside the office which was almost totally damaged by the powerful blast, added the source.

Iraqi security forces sealed off the scene while ambulances were evacuating the victims who were some employees inside the office and some guards at the entrance, the source said without giving further details.

Violence and some high-profile attacks are still common in Iraqi cities more than four months after the country held its landmark parliamentary election which is widely expected to shape the political landscape of the war-torn country.
