Canada offers condolences to Pakistani plane crash victims

OTTAWA, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Lawrence Cannon Wednesday issued a statement offering Canada's condolences to victims of the crash of a Pakistani commercial aircraft into the hills surrounding capital Islamabad.

Cannon said "On behalf of the Government of Canada and all Canadians, I wish to offer my most sincere condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the crash of Airblue flight ED-202."

"Our thoughts and prayers are with them and the people of Pakistan as they face this terrible tragedy," he added.

A plane of a Pakistani private airliner on Wednesday morning crashed into the Margalla Hills in Pakistan's capital of Islamabad and killed all the 152 people aboard including at least 20 women and seven children.
