08-06-2010 08:41 BJT

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Disney has increased all admission prices to its Disneyland theme parks in Anaheim, Orange County in southern California beginning on Thursday, the company announced.

The one-day, one-park 72-U.S.-dollar tickets will go up by 4 dollars. The "One-day Park Hopper" ticket will go from 97 dollars to 101 dollars. Parking will also increase by one dollar to 15 dollars.

"We continuously monitor the marketplace to ensure pricing that reflects a strong entertainment value," Disney's Suzi Brown said. "When you compare a Disney park to a concert or professional sporting event, we offer a great value and a full day of world- class entertainment. The prices on annual passes also will increase."

Disneyland's announcement came at about the same time of year that the park has unveiled previous annual price hikes. It is expected that price at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, will also go up.

The Southern California Select Annual Passports will go from 169 dollars to 184 dollars; Southern California Annual Passports from 219 dollars to 239 dollars; Premium Annual Passports from 439 dollars to 459 dollars.

Annual Passport parking will rise from 79 dollars to 99 dollars.
