RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Brazilian Confederation of Soccer announced on Thursday the scheduled friendly match against Germany in 2011. The match will be held in Stuttgart, Germany, commemorating the end of reforms in the city's stadium.

The match will be held on August 10, 2011. Germany recently finished in third place at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Brazil will host the event in 2014.

According to the president of the Brazilian Confederation of soccer, Ricardo Teixeira, it is difficult to arrange a friendly on Brazilian soil due to the reforms and construction that major stadiums are currently undergoing in preparation for the 2014 World Cup.

Head coach of the Brazilian national team, Mano Menezes, will have his first test in command on August 10 when his team will travel to New Jersey to play the national team of the United States.

The Brazilian Confederation of Soccer is still looking to organize another friendly in September of this year. However, the opponent and the date are yet to be defined. The team is also working on the details of a friendly against France in February 2011.
