BEIJING, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) - In a new effort to use Olympic facilities following the successful 2008 games, tourists will be invited to enjoy Asia' s largest indoor water park at China' s National Aquatics Center, nicknamed the Water Cube, on Sunday, August 8, the two-year anniversary of the Beijing Olympic Games.

Huge whirlpools, invisible waves, a deep-sea tornado and other effects are to be simulated in the indoor water park, which covers an area of 77,000 square meters, according to the center.

The cost of entering the water park is 200 yuan (29.5 U.S. dollars) for an adult (over 1.4 m in height), 160 yuan for children ( standing 1.2 meters to 1.39 meters), and free for toddlers.

However, ticket price for just visiting the Water Cube will remain the same 30 yuan and 50 yuan for swimming.

In 2009, more than 150 activities were held at the Water Cube, attracting over five million visitors from throughout the world.
