It is getting cooler these days, and the number of visitors is on the rise. A total of 380,800 visitors crowded the Expo site by 7pm yesterday. The total number of visitors reached 36.98 million in 98 days of Expo.
Among yesterday's visitors, 116,100 were group tourists, and 40,300 used free tickets Shanghai government distributed to local residents.
A total of 68,988 tickets were sold on site, with 27,877 night admissions.
As of 6pm, the gate at Houtan had received 69,000 visitors, compared to 60,000 at Shangnan Road, 55,000 via Changqing Road and 51,000 through Gaoke Road W.
A total of 74 shows were staged by 5pm within the site, attracting 53,000 spectators. A total of 5,607 volunteers served on the site.
By 4pm, five medical stations in the site received 374visitors, of whom 29 were externally injured.
According to the Expo Bureau's Ticketing Centre, some 110,000 group visitors will visit today.
The new reservation tickets for the China Pavilion began distribution at Expo entrances yesterday morning. The China Pavilion established eight reservation systems at its south square, near Guozhan Road, which worked well on their first day of operation. Moreover, the China Pavilion and the China’s Joint Provincial Pavilion offered free tour guide services for visitors, as well as special cards with tips for student groups.
