Two Afghan suicide bombers killed in premature explosion

HEART, Afghanistan, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Two suicide bombers were killed as their explosive vests went off prematurely in Farah province in west Afghanistan on Wednesday, police said.

"The incident occurred inside a mosque in Askarabad, a suburb of provincial capital Farah city at 10:30 a.m. local time when two terrorists were fitting their suicide vests to target government interests, but accidently the explosive device exploded killing both on the spot," provincial police chief Mohammad Faqir Askar told Xinhua.

There were no other casualties but the mosque where the terrorists used to stay was damaged.

In Kabul on Tuesday on the eve of Ramadan the Muslim fasting month - a suicide explosion left two drivers of a foreign company dead and a security guard injured, according to police.
