China's cabinet appoints senior officials

BEIJING, Aug.18 (Xinhua) -- The State Council, China's Cabinet, announced the appointment of several high-level officials in Beijing Wednesday.

According to the State Council circular, Gao Hucheng has been appointed International Trade Representative under the Ministry of Commerce.

Zhong Shan and Chong Quan have both been appointed Deputy International Trade Representative.

Wang Chao has been appointed Vice Minister of Commerce.

Li Wei has been appointed Deputy Director of the Development Research Center of the State Council.

Chen Qiufa has been appointed Head of the China National Space Administration.

E Jingping has been appointed Director of the Office of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project Commission (SNWDPC) of the State Council.

Jiang Xuguang has been appointed Deputy Director of the SNWDPC Office.

The State Council ended Ma Xiuhong's tenure as Vice Minister of Commerce and Li Wei's tenure as Vice Minister of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC).

The State Council also ended Cui Dalin's tenure as Vice Minister of China's General Administration of Sport (GASC), Zhang Jiyao's tenure as director of the SNWDPC Office, and Ning Yuan's tenure as deputy director of the SNWDPC Office.
