8th Belgrade Beer Fest opens

BELGRADE, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- The 8th Belgrade Beer Fest, with a motto "I Choose to Recycle," opened on Wednesday in Usce Park of Belgrade.

Belgrade Beer Fest, started in 2003, is held annually over four to five days as a showcase event for various beer producers. During the five-day beer festival of this year, visitors can try 28 different kinds of beer. In addition to domestic and foreign brews, the festival features live music performances each evening. This year, visitors will enjoy about 40 concerts, demonstrated by bands from Serbia and countries in this region.

The Serbian Tourism Organization expects at least 800,000 visitors at the festival this year, and about 10,000 of them are foreigners.

Showing the care for environment protecting, the motto of this year's festival is "I Choose to Recycle," and visitors can get a free beer with 15 empty tins.

The festival will end on Aug. 22.
