Sources at FOX TV were quoted by E! Online as saying that Tyler is officially in to be a judge on the 10th season of "American Idol."

Recent reports have said Fox had tapped Tyler and Jennifer Lopez to join Randy Jackson at the judge table after the departures of Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres.

But Fox didn’t announced Tyler and Lopez's arrival at the recent Television Critics' Association conference in Beverly Hills because neither judge had finalized a contract.

Both performers were rumored to be holding out for huge salaries.
