Brilliant Aikido Demonstration Shines in CAU

BEIJING, 30th August – Today the demonstration of Aikido brought a brand-new martial art, where no winners and losers exist and every athlete treats the opponent as their family. Aikido techniques consist of various throws and joint locks in circle routines. The Soft can win the stiff which is been seen the core of the art. The spectators enjoyed the whole show in a gentle fashion.

The morning started with the Basic Skills Performance. 80 people from 23 different countries took part in it. They demonstrated plenty of Aikido basic techniques such as the irimi-nage, shiho-nage, kotegaeshi and so on. The acts were full of the rhythm feeling naturally and fluently.

The first group came from Japan for the respect for the founder of the Aikido who is a Japanese martial artist. The two Japanese athletes demonstrate the Suwari waza. And then the Netherland and French athletes showed the shiho nage and joint locks. Other groups also gave Chinese spectators a feast of eyes.

These Aikido performance athletes hailed from 23 different countries all over the world. And this Sportaccord Combat Games will be a good chance for development of Aikido in China. In the afternoon, more wonderful demonstrations will unveil its mysterious curtain.
