2 killed, 25 injured in SW China bus crash

GUIYANG, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and 25 others injured when a bus overturned on an expressway in southwest China's Guizhou Province amid rainy weather Sunday morning.

The accident happened at 10:30 a.m. in Loushanguan Town, Tongzi County, the county government said in a statement.

Some 55 passengers were aboard the bus - which was en route to Nanchong, Sichuan Province, from Shantou City in southern China's Guangdong Province - when it overturned amid rain and slippery road conditions.

The injured were taken to the People's Hospital in Tongzi County. Four of them suffered serious injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
