GHAZNI, Afghanistan, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Three Afghan civilians including a woman were killed Wednesday when their car ran over a roadside bomb in Ghazni province, southern Afghanistan, provincial police chief Zarawar Zahid said.

"The bloody incident occurred this morning around 11 a.m. local time when a civilian car hit a roadside bomb. As a result three civilians including a woman were killed and a young lady was injured," Zahid told Xinhua.

Blaming the enemies of peace, a term used by Afghan officials against the Taliban insurgents, the police chief said the explosion took place in Aab Band district and the injured woman was in critical condition.

Earlier in the day, a separate but similar incident in the country's eastern Khost province injured two children.

Dr. Amir Padshah Mangal, Chief of the Provincial Health Department in talks with Xinhua, said that the blast occurred this morning in a Khsot city.

This is the second bomb blast in Khost city since early this morning. In the previous blast, three other civilians were injured when a bomb exploded near their butcher shop in Khost city, the capital of same name Khost province.
