Olympic diving champion confident in Asian Games success

CHANGCHUN, Northeast China, June 5 (Xinhua) -- Olympic diving gold medalist Wang Feng Saturday expressed his confidence in a sweeping success in the Asian Games in Guangzhou, south China this year.

Wang, who retired after winning the men's 3m synchronized springboard in the Beijing Games in 2008, came here for an Asian Games warming-up this weekend.

"China diving team hope to take all of the crowns of 2010 Asian Games," said Wang.

"I believe that China team will excel once again in Guangzhou. This time it is also a good chance for young members to collect experience," Wang said.

Wang hoped the new generation would seize the opportunity to improve skills in their preparations for the 2012 London Olympics.

The 16th Asian Games is scheduled to be held in Southern China' s Guangzhou City from November 12th to 27th.
