Indonesian boxer, enjoy beautiful view in Athletes' Village

11-25-2010 13:33 BJT Special Report:Guangzhou Asian Games |

You said you will head back home on Friday. What are you planning to do before you leave?

I wanted to come to China for a tour for a long time, but now I finally have the chance. Most of my teammates returned home straight after their competitions ended, but I asked for more time. I will visit some places in Guangzhou recommended by my Chinese friends. I'll take some photos and buy some gifts for my relatives.

Did you compete at the Beijing Olympics two years ago?

It's a pity that I missed the Olympics in Beijing. I also want to see the snow in Beijing in the winter. I only saw the snow on TV, and I know that it snows in northern China. But living in Indonesia, I never get to see or touch real snow.

Maybe you should take a trip to Harbin.

I know it's very cold there. I saw the people all wear very thick clothes in northern China, and there's steam coming out of their mouths when they breathe. The whole city's covered in white. It looks beautiful.

What are some of your best memories of being here?

I've had so many experiences here that I want to share with my family. I want to tell them about the beautiful view in the Athletes' Village, the nice Chinese people, and all the modern stadiums and venues.
