Huadu strives to promote tourism during Asian Games

Guangzhou, November 25 - The People's Government of Huadu District held a Press Conference in Main Media Centre (MPC) of Asian Games Town on November 24, promoting the easing Living environment and rich tourism resources in Huadu to the media from all over Asia. Qin Haisen, Member of the Standing Committee of Huadu District Committee of the CPC, as well as Director of the Publicity Department of Huadu District, and Deputy Governor of Huadu District Li Xiaodong attended the conference.

Huadu, only 30 kliometres from Guangzhou, is reputed as the back garden of Guangzhou. It has 40.8 percent of greenery coverage and 36.7 of forest coverage with air quality better than National Level II. With three mountains, one waterway and six plains, its superb ecological mild climate provides the best room for Huadu's tourism development.

According to Qin, the tourist resources in Huadu can be categorised into four major types and six major brands are formed, and the city is utilising the gifted eco-environment and profound humanistic advantages to promote tourism industry with great efforts.

Huadu has fully grasped the opportunities brought about by the Guangzhou Asian Games to implement a series of promotions aiming at tourists this year, especially the country tour to promote the rural economy development.
