Guangzhou, November 25 - The public poll for the nickname of the Guangzhou Asian Games volunteers ended early on the morning on November 24. According to the official statistics, Lv Yangyang (a green goat in Chinese) proves to be the winner, which accounts for 37.5 percent of the total votes.

Although all of the nicknames are quite unique and creative, the public showed great affection to Lv Yangyang and Xiao Lvye (a green leaf in Chinese), the most competitive candidates among others. Finally, Lv Yangyang edges Xiao Lvye and becomes the most popular nickname for the Guangzhou Asian Games volunteers with an advantage of over 1,000 votes.

However, whether Lv Yangyang would be determined as the nickname for the Guangzhou Asian Games volunteers is yet unknown. "It's not just that easy, and we have to wait now!" said an official of the Volunteers Department of the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC).

It was said that the instant poll results of the Games-time volunteers and city volunteers were yet unknown, and suggestions of the experts at volunteering services will be taken into consideration, too. And the final result will be announced soon upon evaluations and discussions.
