Harley Seyedin, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China (ACCSC), believes Guangzhou has "captivated the entire globe".

"It is indisputable that every day many more people around the globe are coming to know the same spectacular city that we have been promoting to potential investors since the founding of the ACCSC," Seyedin said of the Asian Games host city.

"Because of the Asian Games, Guangzhou is now famous throughout the world and not just the region, and every citizen of this great city will benefit as a result.

"Whereas in the past we knew that we lived in a splendid place, now so does everyone we meet.

"I fully expect that as a result of Guangzhou's newly-enhanced visibility, it will continue to prosper, continue to meet and exceed its goals for development and continue to be one of China's economic leaders," he told Asiad Daily.
