Iran says U.S., UK behind suicide attack in southeast of country

TEHRAN, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chief of Iran's Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi accused the United States and Britain of involving in Wednesday's suicide attack in southeastern Iran, the semi-official ISNA news agency reported.

"The experience from the past incidents show that the U.S. and UK intelligent services are behind the crimes like the Wednesday morning crime in (Iran's southeastern city of) Chabahar," Boroujerdi was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Iran's Deputy Interior Minister Ali Abdollahi told official IRNA news agency that the equipment and facilities nabbed on Wednesday showed that the bombing agents were supported by the intelligent services of the region and the United States.

A total of 38 people were killed and 50 others were wounded in a suicide attack in southeastern Iran on Wednesday, the local satellite Press TV reported.
