Sanya to promote overseas tourism in 2011

01-18-2011 14:45 BJT Special Report:Impression Hainan |

To enlarge the overseas tourism market, Sanya this year will make promotions in six foreign tourist source countries: Russia, Germany, South Korea, Japan, United States and Canada, according to the Sanya Tourism Development Committee.

Sanya City is a noted tourist resort with mountains and sea.

Sanya will set up the Nordic Liaison Office, Moscow Liaison Office, Japan Liaison Office, Hong Kong Liaison Office and Taiwan Liaison Office to do more promotion.

In addition, the city's tourism department will create websites in English, Japanese, Russian, German and Korean to attract more inbound tourists from the above six countries. Sanya will actively cooperate with local travel agencies and promote themed tours in the respective countries.

Hong Kong is an important 'springboard' to promote Sanya in overseas markets, and both parties will strengthen cooperation in many aspects. Taiwan will promote direct air routes between the island and Sanya.
