Man arrested over Stockholm bombing faces terror charge

LONDON, March 14 (Xinhua) -- A 30-year-old man related to a suicide bombing in Sweden in last December was charged with terrorism offenses, local media reported on Monday.

Kuwaiti national Ezeedem Al Khaledi, who was involved in aiding terrorist activities, was arrested on March 8 in Glasgow, a city of southwest Scotland, under the Terrorism Act as part of an intelligence-led operation in the city.

According to the reports, Khaledi faced three charges under the Terrorism Act and five others under immigration laws and banking regulations.

He made no plea or declaration and was remanded into custody.

The suicide bomber, Taimour Abdulwahab, injured two people in blasts in a busy shopping street in Stockholm. Abdulwahab was studying at the University of Bedfordshire in Britain.
