First athletes training in Portugal

The first group of Mozambican athletes, who are going to take part in the 2011 all Africa Games in the Mozambique has already started training in Portugal.

The Maputo daily paper said Wednesday that the event to occur in September left Maputo on Saturday for the Portuguese capital, Lisbon.

It is part of 50 Mozambican athletes who are going to get training in various sports modalities in the all Africa Games, the first to be hel in the former Portuguese colony. The training will last for four months.

According to the ministry of sport and youth, the even will be hel in the capital, Maputo and at Chideguele, a region in the southern Mozambican province of Gaza, from September the 3rd to 18th of the same month.

The organising committee of the gams says that preparation have been going on on all fronts of the sports. After the training of the first group, the second one one will follow suit.
