At home in the Engenhao stadium on Wednesday, Botafogo beat Parana Clube 3-0 in the second leg of the 2011 Brazilian Cup, entering the round of sixteen with a 5-1 aggregate score.

Botafogo's first goal came in the 29th minute when Herrera centered the ball to Sebastian "Loco" Abreu who headed with precision, placing it into the upper left corner of the Parana Clube goal and out of reach of keeper Thiago Rodrigues.

Returning to the second half, Herrera gave another assist to Abreu in the 54th minute, leaving the striker face-to-face with Rodrigues. Abreu easily redirected the ball into the lower right corner of the goal.

Caio added to his team's lead in the 88th minute, converting a penalty kick after he was tackled by Serginho inside the penalty box.

In the next round, Botafogo will face Avai in a two-game series. Eliminated, Parana Clube will focus its attention on climbing out relegation in the Parana state championship.

Botafogo returns to action on April 10 against cross-town rival Flamengo in the penultimate round of the second half of the Rio de Janeiro state championship.
