BEIJING, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping attended a graduation ceremony held on Friday by the Party School of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.

Xi, also president of the CPC's top Party school, awarded graduation certificates to graduates who recently finished the school's spring semester.

Li Jingtian, vice president of the school, called on the graduates to continue studying, carry out the country's 12th Five-Year Program (2011-2015) and learn from Yang Shanzhou, a late veteran Party official who was remembered for his selfless contributions to the public interest.

"Our graduates should become good officials who will meet people's needs," Li said.

More than 260 officials from institutions directly under the Party School and graduates attended the graduation ceremony.
