Senior Chinese leader extends greetings to children ahead of Int'l Children's Day

BEIJING, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Senior Chinese leader Li Changchun on Tuesday wished China's children a happy and healthy life, as he watched a performance ahead of International Children's Day, which falls on June 1.

Li, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of Communist Party of China(CPC) Central Committee, greeted children as he attended the performance staged by several government agencies and the China Central Television Tuesday evening.

The performance featured songs, dances, acrobatics, and magic shows.
