BEIJING, June 14 (Xinhuanet) -- A Chicago family filed a lawsuit against “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast members following a trip to the Caribbean, media reported Tuesday.

Yolanda Martinez and some of her relatives filed a lawsuit Monday in New York City. They say Teresa Guidice from the "Bravo series" sprayed Champagne in Martinez' face, and then Guidice and others on the show beat up Martinez' son-in-law Adolfo Arreola and his cousin Jason Gomez in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic,on Feb. 23.

The suit states that Arreola confronted Giudice, after which Joe, along with fellow "Housewives" regulars Albert and Christopher Manzo, came to Teresa's side and then ended up flying off the handle.

The court documents claim that the reality show stars "brutally and savagely beat, kicked, punched, scratched, jumped on and smashed glass" on the Chicago family.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
