Universiade lanes canceled

SHENZHEN police canceled designated lanes for Universiade vehicles on Huanggang Road, Binhe Road and Binbai Boulevard on Aug 17.

Shenzhen police designated 13 roads for Universiade vehicles only for the opening ceremony and competitions between Aug. 4-24.

The three roads, which had designated lanes for the opening ceremony, opened to all traffic yesterday, police said.

Meanwhile, police will close Huangge and Ruyi roads in Longgang District for the 20-kilometer walking race from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Vehicles will not be allowed to enter these roads during the competition.

Police advised motorists to detour to Longxiang Boulevard or Jixiang Road.
