Matchday 4 kicks off with three games in Spain

MADRID, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- There were three games from matchday four played in Spain's BBVA Primera Liga on Tuesday night.

Osasuna recovered from their 8-0 defeat away to Barcelona on Saturday by holding Sevilla to a 0-0 draw in Pamplona. Osasuna showed they had not suffered any long term defects from their defeat at the weekend and could have won had the referee given them what looked like a clear penalty for a second half handball by Sevilla substitute Deigo Perotti.

Real Sociedad took their second win of the campaign with a 1-0 win against Granada. Defender Dani Estrada scored a 63rd minute header to give the Basque side all three points.

Finally Villarreal returned to winning ways against a Mallorca side that looks worse with every game. Giuseppe Rossi after seven minutes and Nilmar early in the second half put Villarreal on their way to a 2-0 win.

It was Villarreal's first triumph of the season, while Mallorca have lost their last three games.

Wednesday sees five matches, including Barcelona's visit to league leaders Valencia and Real Madrid playing away to Racing Santander, while there are two more matches to be played on Thursday, including Betis - Zaragoza, a game that could take the home side top of the table depending on results elsewhere.
