BEIJING, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Premier Wen Jiabao hosted a red-carpet welcome ceremony for his visiting Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Tuesday afternoon at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

After the welcome ceremony, Wen and Putin will hold the 16th regular meeting between China and Russian prime ministers.
