Chinese state councilor vows closer ties with Ecuador

BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- State Councilor Liu Yandong on Tuesday pledged boosting cooperation with Ecuador and strengthening party-to-party exchanges with the country.

Liu made the remarks while meeting with a delegation led by Galo Mora, national executive secretary of the Movimiento Alianza Pais of Ecuador.

The state councilor praised the progress of China-Ecuador relations in recent years, citing frequent high-level exchanges, enhanced political trust, increasing cultural and technological exchanges, and sound coordination in global affairs.

Calling Movimiento Alianza Pais an important political force of Ecuador, Liu said China is ready to make joint efforts with the country to push forward cooperation between the two countries and two parties.
