China's Poyang Lake attracts large amount of migratory birds

Thanks to the good environment and abundant food resources, the
Poyang Lake attract a large amount of migratory birds every winter.
The lake, with several cities and counties surrounded, is the largest
freshwater lake in China. Although it witnessed a severe drought
this year, the ecosystem of the lake restored a bit after rainy
season. Recently, over 100,000 migratory birds, about 30 percent
more than the volume of former years, have flied to the Poyang
County surrounding the lake. In order to decrease the affection
of low water level of the Poyang Lake, the county organized 16 bird
protection teams to deliver food for migratory birds.
