Unbeaten Beijing blow out Bayi by 37 points

BEIJING, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- League leaders Beijing Ducks took their eighth straight win after enjoying a 112-75 landslide over Bayi Fubang at the 2011-2012 Chinese Basketball Association league (CBA) on Wednesday.

It is the first time for Beijing to beat Bayi on the road since the lauch of CBA league in 1995. Five players of Beijing scored double-digit.

Ji Zhe notched the team-high 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds for Beijing, while former NBA star Stephon Marbury just played 18 minutes with six points, five assists and four steals.

Bayi is the only CBA team without a single foreign player.

After the 5-5 tie at the beginning of the match, Beijing opened their outstanding attacking power to extend the lead to 33-20 by the end of the first quarter.

Center Randolph Morris led the scoring surge of Beijing in the second quarter, which gifted the visitors a 18-point advantage (56-38) at the halftime.

It was a frustrating night for Bayi veteran Wang Zhizhi, who only had 9 points and 2 rebounds through the whole game.

In other matches, former Denver Nuggets star J.R.Smith was the brightest star. He buried 46 points to help Zhejiang Chouzhou beat Jiangsu Dragons 104-99 to get their fifth consecutive victory.

In addition, Guangdong Hongyuan defeated Shanghai Sharks 95-76, Xinjiang Guanghui beat Qingdao Doublestar 91-81, Shanxi Zhongyu overwhelmed Tianjin Ronggang 112-90, Dongguan Marco Polo downed Foshan Long Lions 117-104, and Fujian SBS outclassed Shandong Gold 112-105.
