Senior Chinese political advisor meets Turkish guests

BEIJING, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Senior political advisor Sun Jiazheng met here Tuesday with a study group of cadres of Turkey's opposition Nationalist Movement Party (MHP).

Sun, vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, said the Communist Party of China (CPC) is ready to enhance contacts with the MHP and work together to further China-Turkey ties.

As China and Turkey are both the emerging and developing economies, the development of bilateral ties conforms with the two peoples' interests and will benefit world peace and development.

Yildirim Tugrul Turkes, head of the delegation and executive vice chairman of the MHP, said the MHP hopes to strengthen cooperation with the CPC.

The delegation started a eleven-day visit on Dec. 19 at the invitation of the International Department Central Committee of CPC.
