BUDAPEST, Jan.20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese table tennis stars will supply six from eight semi-finalists in the men's and women's singles at the Hungarian Table Tennis Open in Budapest on Saturday.

Both doubles finals at the event, the first of 15 stages of the 2012 International Table Tennis Federation World Tour, will also be all-Chinese affairs.

In the men's singles' quarter-finals on Friday, top seed Ma Long squeezed past Chen Qi by 12-10 in the deciding game. Ma Long won the first game but was surprised by his tenacious opponent and forced to recover from 3-1 down. The final game went to the wire after the seventh-seed Chen Qi saved four match points but the more experienced Ma Long won through by the narrowest of margins.

Elsewhere, second seed China's Zhang Jike found the defensive style of South Korean sixth seed Joo Se Hyuk too much to handle and fell to a straight-games defeat.

In the fifteenth versus sixteenth seed tussle, the Romanian Adrian Crisan overcame Austria's Chen Weixing 4-2, while in an all-Chinese battle fourth seed Xu Xin easily beat fifth seed Ma Lin 4-0.

In Saturday's semi-finals, Ma Long will take on Xu Xin, while Joo Se Hyuk will play the only European left in the competition, Adrian Crisan.

In the women's singles, top seed Ding Ning was knocked out by fifth seed Wu Yang who stormed back from losing the first game 11-4 to win the next four games. Guo Yan of China beat her compatriot Fan Ying 4-0, while there were comfortable Chinese victories in the other two quarter-finals.

Liu Shiwen beat Seo Hyo Won of South Korea 4-1, while Li Xiaoxia defeated Li Jiawei 4-0. The all-Chinese semi-final line-up pits Wu Yang against Guo Yan and Liu Shiwen against Li Xiaoxia.

China's Xu Xin and Zhang Jike won through to the men's doubles final after beating the Hong Kong pair 4-2 while in the other semi-final Chinese pair Chen Qi and Ma Lin defeated Li Ahmet and Bora Vang of Turkey 4-3.

The women's doubles final will also be an all-Chinese battle after Ding Ning and Liu Shiwen beat Dana Hadacova and Katerina Penkakova of the Czech Republic 4-1, and Fan Ying and Wu Yang defeated the German pair Zhenqi Barthel and Sabine Winter 4-1.

Both men's and women's singles and doubles finals also take place on Saturday.
