LA PAZ, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Bolivia, Brazil and the United States on Friday signed here a trilateral agreement to control and reduce coca cultivation in Bolivia, official sources said.

The agreement will promote the technical, logistic and scientific coordination between the three sides. The project system seeks to have an accurate location and information of surplus coca plants' cultivation regions and hectares to eradicate them.

Bolivia's Government Minister Wilfredo Chavez said the agreement shows the will of the three countries to fight against drug trafficking in a "shared" way.

The agreement establishes that Washington will give Bolivia equipment of high precision measurement and will train the personnel in charge of operating it. Brazil will contribute with satellite images and technology.
