NEW DELHI, March 1 (Xinhua) -- In a bizaare coincidence with the shooting incident involved with an Italian oil tanker two weeks ago, two fishermen were killed and two others missing when a ship collided with a boat off Kollam in Kerala in southern India in the wee hours of Thursday.

The Press Trust of India quoted police as saying that of the six fishermen in the boat, two swam to safety, they said.

The deceased were identified as Francis Justine and Xavier.

The incident took place two weeks after two fishermen were killed allegedly by security guards of the Italian oil tanker Enrica Lexie off Kollam on Feb. 15, who mistook the victims as pirates.

Two Italian security guards were arrested by Indian police and a diplomatic row has been going on between New Delhi and Rome over the incident.
