Failing in Europe, Keirrison returns to Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, March 22 (Xinhua) -- Unable to find his way onto the roster of Spain's powerhouse FC Barcelona, Brazilian striker Keirrison was officially re-presented to Coritiba on Wednesday.

Barcelona purchased Keirrison three years ago. The striker jumped at the opportunity to make one of his childhood dreams come true, but struggled to impress head coach Pep Guardiola.

Barcelona, still the owner of Keirrison's player rights, decided to loan Keirrison to Coritiba for two years.

Keirrison is humbled with his return to Coritiba, but stated that he is happy to be home. He is currently recovering from an arthroscopic surgery on his right knee after tearing ligaments in his right knee.

The 23-year-old told fans that with his injury and recovery, he intends to re-learn soccer and rebuild his career, helping Coritiba to a bright future.
