Chavez returns to Venezuela after radiation treatment in Cuba

CARACAS, April 26, (Xinhua) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez arrived home early Wednesday after undergoing a fourth round of radiation treatment for cancer in Cuba.

The Venezuelan state television channel VTV reported that Chavez arrived in Caracas and showed a photo of his return but aired no video.

Chavez was shown departing his airplane in the night-time photo dressed in blue and white sportswear as officials came to greet him.

"I am on the plane now! Everybody is feeling happy because we are headed to our beloved Venezuela. Fidel and Raul (Castro) send their greetings! Long live Venezuela," Chavez announced on the Twitter microblog Wednesday.

Chavez left for Cuba on April 14 for the radiation treatment.
