One missing, five rescued after quarry boat capsizes in SW China river

NANNING, July 18 (Xinhua) -- Firefighters are combing the Liujiang River in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region searching for a missing crew on a sand quarry boat which capsized on Wednesday morning.

The Liujiang County Fire Department said there were all together six crew on the boat, when it capsized on the river at 5:30 a.m. Two were rescued by passing vessels, and three drifted downstream to the Honghua Hydro-Power Station, where they were rescued.

All of the survivors have been rushed to hospital.
