LONDON, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Colombian weightlifter Oscar Figueroa on Monday won a silver medal in the men's 62kg category, with a total lifting of 317kg.

Gold medal was for DPR Korea's Guk Kim Un, who established a world record of 327kg.

Eko Yuli, from Indonesia, won bronze medal.

This is the second medal won by Colombia in London 2012, added to the one cyclist Rigoberto Uran won in men's road race on July 28.

"I had had to give all I've got. I wanted the gold medal, but that's the way it is," said Figueroa.

"I feel very proud of taking this medal to my county," he added.

Figueroa, 29, said he will continue training and that his plan is to "at least win again the silver medal in the next Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro 2016."

The Colombian weighlifter finished fifth in the Athens 2004, but in Beijing 2008 he wasn't able to make his three liftings at the beginning.
