2012 Ordos Int'l Boxing Challenge to Kick off

HOHHOT, China, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- The 2012 Ordos International Boxing Challenge is to kick off on Aug. 28 in Ejin Horo Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, authorities said Wednesday.

This Challenge is approved by the State Sports General Administration Boxing and Taekwondo Management Center, and hosted by Ordos Sports Bureau and Ejin Horo Banner Government.

Eighty boxers will participate in this Challenge, and half of them come from abroad such as Kazakhstan, Thailand, Mongolia, Iran and Italy.

In recent years, Ordos not only has high-speed economic development, but also enjoys prosperous development of sports.

The first Ordos International Nadam Fair, The Seventh Inner Mongolia Traditional Minority National Sports, The National Equestrian Eventing Championship Tournament and the 2012 Ejin Horo International Marathon Fair were held in recent couple years, which help improve the local public sports facilities and form a rich sports-participating atmosphere.
