TEHRAN, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged the Muslims of the world to remain vigilant against the conspiracies of the enemies of the Muslim world, Press TV reported on Sunday.

"The issues of the Muslim world at the current juncture are unprecedented ones. These developments that have occurred in the Muslim world are peculiar and shocking and will determine the course of the Muslim ummah (people) in the future," Khamenei was quoted as saying in an address to crowds of worshippers during the Eid al-Fitr prayers at Tehran University on Sunday.

Eid al-Fitr is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

Khamenei described the United States' and the Israeli "regime" as the enemies of the Muslim nations and said that the enemies further complicate their plots against Muslims day by day.

Khamenei added that, however, the enemies have not been able to overcome the resolve of the Muslim people, expressing hope that the Muslim nations and officials will proceed with their proper measures as before, according to the report.

A new era has begun and the Muslim world is experiencing a new condition, which will affect the lives of all nations throughout the globe, said the leader.

He also praised the high turnout of the Iranian nation in the rallies on the Quds Day on Friday in support of the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli administration.
