HOUSTON, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- Four children were killed and eight others injured Monday afternoon when a sport utility vehicle (SUV) lost control and overturned on an eastern Texas interstate highway.
The accident took place in the early afternoon near the town of Van, about 112 km east of Dallas, according to local daily The Houston Chronicle.
The killed children were aged from two to 13, while among the injured six were children and two were adults, the Texas Department of Public Safety was quoted as saying.
All the injured have been sent to hospital for medical treatment, and the cause of the tragedy is still under probe, according to the report.
